About Me
My name is David Ellis. My wife, two children and I live in Wallingford CT, which is north of New Haven CT. I am a Software Engineer who enjoys many outdoor activities such as hiking (especially barefoot), mountain biking, camping, backpacking, roller blading and cross country skiing.
Why I Created this Site
My wife and I are avid hikers. We have two young boys and of course make hiking a family activity. Most children hike better if they have an exciting destination. Also children like to hike to streams and waterfalls.
I began to search for more hikes to waterfalls and found the information scarce. I already knew about most of the falls I came across in my research and I knew of ones that were not listed. I would usually only find out about new falls while hiking or reading a trail description in the Connecticut Blue Book.
After doing the work to put together a list, I decided I should put it on the Internet and share it with others |
